The SBIA Industry Network aims to provide an open and interactive platform for stakeholders (such as researchers, business leaders, government officials, and other professionals) to collaborate and scale the private sector in Africa.

The Network is hosted by the University of Edinburgh Business School's Scaling Business In Africa consortium and was developed to co-create knowledge and unearth solutions to private sector challenges in Africa.

The Network is open to researchers, business owners, industry practitioners, and other stakeholders who are committed to private sector development in Africa, and are eager to meet like-minded individuals. We host private (invitation-only) events as well as public events in collaboration with our members across various locations across the world. These events include seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and so on.

Each event will be focused on a topic central to the development of the private sector in Africa. We welcome leading academic and industry speakers to share their knowledge and insights.

To get the most out of the Network you are also welcome to request to join our closed LinkedIn Group for discussion and debate.

Please note: we aim to keep an open and honest atmosphere at all Network events. With this in mind, it is strictly not a platform for the ‘sale’ of consultancy services as this detracts from the main aim of the Network. For some events, we will adopt a ‘closed door’ policy and target invites to specific professionals.
